Last day in Mystic: there was a heat advisory but it stayed overcast most of the day so we were able to get out and about a little more and enjoy an early happy hour dinner at Engine Room, another of our favorite restaurants in Mystic.

It’s hot, but we had fun revisiting some of our favorite places in Mystic, CT and discovering what’s new since we were last here.
Littleton, NH to Mystic, CT, about 250 miles. Got breakfast from The Coffee Pot in Littleton and took a nice walk along the river this morning before heading out. We mainly stayed off the highway as we drove through NH, VT, NH again, MA and finally pulled in to Mystic, CT. Then we had a lovely farm dinner at Stone Acres, the farm of our favorite restaurant in Mystic.
A rainy day in Littleton NH, but we managed to have breakfast from the local diner and see a few things this morning before having lunch back at Schilling Beer Company. Caught up on work in the afternoon.
We spent the morning wandering around Ellsworth, ME and then drove about 250 miles to Littleton, NH.
Low key last day in Maine: we toured the Woodlawn Museum and Gardens in Ellsworth ME, and had lunch at Acadia Lobster and BBQ:
The group went for a boat trip, but Meg had to work in the morning, so we wandered out to Blue Hill, west of our rental house, and found Harriman Point Preserve.
Hiking down from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.
First day in Maine: met Lairs in Freeport for lunch at Maine Beer Co. and stopped at Mast Landing as well. Dinner at Perry’s Lobster Dock.
Andes NY to Surry ME via Treehouse Brewing in Charlton MA, about 500 miles.
